BlastChat has been founded in 2004 as a simple chat application that could be run on any website. But soon after releasing it we realized that majority of website communities servers are unable to handle chat traffic, that is why we decided to change our approach and offer chat hosting service. For three years BlastChat was a completely free which resulted in overwhelming traffic and demand for support. This is why in 2007 we turned into a commercial service which still continues to offer free basic chat hosting with limited functionality.
