Is there a way to remove the text from a chat session? 3 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: -1  
I like the Chat component, but I wanted to know if there is a way to remove the content of each session. So next time I use it, it will start a new session (without showing old chat content). This is also for privacy, so if I'm chatting with a new person I don't necesarily want them to see tha last conversation.

I'll appreciate members help on this. Thansk ...

1. You can chat by sending private message (only person you send it to will be able to read them)
2. Message expire will be available soon (you will be able to set time after which messages will expire for your server)

Plus some way of manually removing posts from the cache would be nice. To deal with those wonderful people who start to swear for the fun of it and spam the board.

Nice component by the way.

Yes, I am aware of this and it will be available in new mos-chat I'll be releasing.

In any case, you can disable guest access to your chat even now, and if any of the members is not behaving according to your expectatio0ns, you can still block their account in mambo itself.

Hi there, all the above functionality would rock, however, I am having great difficulty even finding the right place to go to allow or disallow guest access to MOS CAHT. There does not appear to be any control panel for mos chat in the backend of Mambo, am I missing something?

The method I used was to change the MENU ITEM linking to the MOS-CHAT COMPONENT from PUBLIC to REGISTERED, this way only my registered users that are logged in can chat.
