uninstall - reinstall 1 Year, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
hello,

Using Joomla 1.5 RC3 -

I have currently two "bugs"
- one is the fact that when a registred member of my site is opening Blastchat, he is not anymore directly registred in it and has to enter a login name (I am using Community Builder). With my former 1.12 site, when a registred member was logged in the site, he didn't have to login again into blastchat.

- the second one is that on the module, I have now this message, whatever is the number of people logged in :
"_WE_HAVE_MEMBERS_COUNT_ONLINE". Even if the translation is there. The name of people chatting is well displayed.Is this due to the fact that the site is Joomla 1.5?

So, I will have perhaps, according to your answer, to uninstall and reinstall Blastchat.
If I have to uninstall, can I also delete the two blastchat tables and have a clean install?

Thanks for your answer. Bye

BlastChat client 2.2 is not compatible with Jooma 1.5 (only in legacy mode).

I am assuming that this is partially working because you migrated Joomla 1.x website to Joomla 1.5, right?

edit blastchac.php file and add this code right at top after global variables definitions find:
QUOTE:
$myss = $mainframe->_session;

and you must replace this with correct Joomla 1.5 session object. I do not know how to do it yet, but if you add correct session object it might work, this is a hack only for specific situation like yours.

Hello,
Thanks for your answer.
You right, I migrated from 1.12 to 1.5!
And I created the site locally, did the migration locally too and uploaded later the local site on the server.
But the install of Blastchat on 1.5 went smoothly!
Thanks for the hack but, unfortunatly, I am not an expert and I won't be able to write the adhoc parameters.
I'll wait for your next blastchat release!
Thanks again. Bye

Give it a try (drop underscores from database):

$database =& JFactory::getDBO();
$session =& JFactory::getSession();
$myss = $this->getTable('session', 'JTable';
$myss->load($session->getId());

Hello,
Thanks again and again for your so helpful hand! really nice...

I modified the code according what you sent (if I have well understood!) but, unfortunatly, it doesn't work yet: automatic connection is not available and no error message.

if ($prod == "Joomla!&quot {
if ($rel _session;
//jf begin
$database =& JFactory::getDBO();
$session =& JFactory::getSession();
$myss = $this->getTable('session', 'JTable';
$myss->load($session->getId());
//jf end
}
-Strange : I deleted in the post the two underscore in dat_base_ but they still appear in this message. That is devilous!

Tahnsks and Bye.
