I have the same problem, please help me!!

Not yet, I probably will have to release whole new client and module to fix this in some elegant way.

I think the difference is between encodings used on your site, i.e. difference between what MySQL us using, what PHP is using and what your html output is.

1st printout of names is done directly by PHP generated page, every dynamic update is generated by PHP but printed out by javascript and that's where the problems seems to come in.

May be it would be enough to adjust some headers in AJAX return, hm. I have tried different things but so far no simple solution worked, new module will be completelly changed and hopefully that will solve it.

Till then, if you are developer who can debug and test, please, go on and fiddle with module and client, if you are able to fix the problem I think more webadmins would be happy about it.<br><br>Post edited by: Prutkar, at: 2007/05/07 06:28

If any of you who has this problem could try to do the following:

Edit /../components/com_blastchatc/dynamic.blastchatc.php file, find function getContent, add following line after global variables definitions (put it somewhere like 3rd line):

header( &quot;Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8&quot; );

(you can change UTF-8 to charset of your site if it does not work)

This is just an idea which I can not test as I do not have website with different charset then UTF-8.
