If you were wondering what is happening latelly with mos-chat, why there are no updates and improvements last few weeks, let me update you.
I am working on "The All NEW MOS-Chat" which will improve following:- overall secutiry in place
- UI - adjustable user list width, detach is back in, etc.
- easier server registration (We have about 25% registering failures - just by filling incorrect information)
- full intranet servers support
- server and room management directly in mos-chat window
- admin/moderator functionality (clear room messages)
- global server rooms
- switched to UTF-8 to support more charsets
- modules
- static offline counter/chatters
- dynamic offline counter/chatters
- dynamic online
What are planned features to follow: - local server rooms with user approval/authentication system in place
- user personalized configuration directly in mos-chat window
- user profiles
- more admin/moderator functionality (kick/ban users, moderate room, etc.)
- emoticons defined by you
- user public/private rooms
- PM (i.e. offline post) in optional pop-up window
- optional https communication
As MOS-Chat is closing in on 1 millionth visitor, which is pretty nice milestone, I would like to deploy "The All NEW MOS-Chat" at the same time (but if visitor count will continue growing so fast I will be few days late). |
