Yes, that's it.

Chat can not have 2 different chatters with same session data in the system (to properly identify chatters as unique users).

If you want to test, use completely different browser or start completely new browser window, so you will have two separate sessions for your two entries into chat.

Having just searched through other posts, could this be because I logged out as admin and then logged in as another user to check whether it worked? Obviously site users would not do this, they would have one user account and use that account, but its pretty annoying for admins when testing to make sure it works for all users!

Hi,

Love this component, it works fine when I log in as admin, but anything else I get the following error:

Error 0005 : Error has occured, contact your webmasterDB function failed with error number 1062
Duplicate entry '07f9770a511b548b737f55a4a26a4345' for key 2 SQL=INSERT INTO jos_blastchatc_users (userid, serverid, sec_code, logged, last_update, session_id) VALUES ('78', '0', '0cfa7b0afc18976d1e7076db2b79a5a3', 1, '1195638516', '07f9770a511b548b737f55a4a26a4345')
SQL =

I am using CommunityBuilder to manage my users, could this be the problem? Speedy reply would be appreciated Please email to r.cheesley@ihs.gdst.net

Cheers.
