This is correct, due to our email and one-on-one support after your initial forum posts, I did not get around to post to this topic anymore...which should have been done.

Problems were solved by as simple action as clearing browser cache and clearing joomla cache (after changes you have made to your local blastchat files, your browser was still loading old files).

It looks like there are a lot of posts for assistance here that go unanswered. When I originally posted my problem I had real concerns about this because support is big deal when something goes wrong w/software - any software, and there are plenty of nifty apps out there that run nicely until you ht a glitch and need help, which is non-existent.

Check the JED, you'll see lots of 'em, and most of them are commercial sites that have really bitchen websites done by graphics wizards too!

Well, let's take my posts above for example. It looks like a real problem (it was), and it looks like no one's come to my aide....

Nothing could be further than the truth!

Support was almost instantaneous, and as I was idling in my chat client I got help from Blastchat admins within five minutes of posting in this forum.

Support is fantastic, and for more info pls visit my review of BlastChat on the JED at:

extensions.joomla.org/extensions/communication/chat/44/details (tallship - 18 June 2009).

Okay this is weird. When I'm logged in I'm now getting the error:

Code:

Your home server is not registered yet.

This is really odd, because I opened a different browser, and entered chat as a guest and it's working fine for guests, but if I log into the site and try to enter chat I get (depending on randomness I guess) once of the errors above - my chat's expired or my server isn't registered.

Where should I begin to look for the problem?

Thanks,

Bradley

Hello, I don't know why I had the registration error, but eventually I got that taken care of and then went to enter the chat room and got the following error:

Code:

Your chat session has expired. You must re-enter chat.

Well, That keeps coming up, but I logged into my site and visited the chatroom, and then went back into the BC website (where my site is listed a regsitered).

Then I selected my site and then users and made myself SuperAdmin (It saw me even though I couldn't get into the chatroot).

I also have another error at the top of the chat window which states:
Code:

Please, upgrade to BlastChat Client 3.2 or...

I'm actually running version 3.2, so I don't know why I'm getting this error.

The platform is Joomla 1.5 w/CB 1.2.1 and Php 5.2

I've looked at the following post here: www.blastchat.com/component/option,com_k...6/limitstart,6/#4896 and it says:

I am assuming you are using BlastChat Client for Joomla 1.5.x:
so replace
Code:

function bc_getLiveSite($ls) {

with
Code:

function bc_getLiveSite() {

Okay so my components/com_blastchatc/blastchatc.php already looks like what is explained above.

Thanks for any help you can offer on this issue

Bradley
